Who are we?
Shaw Education Trust is a highly successful Multi-Academy Trust with almost 30 schools covering Primary, Secondary and Special Education based from Birmingham to Bury and with a significant presence in Staffordshire. Our Institute of Education (IoE) is a highly effective and supportive organisation within our Trust which leads on our school improvement and CPD. The IoE has an excellent reputation for providing superb quality support through our vast network of highly experienced and successful Professional Advocates and System Leaders, all of whom have a track record of achieving great things in their specialist field and all of whom are very experienced at supporting colleagues and schools.
What do we do?
We aim to provide first-class support, school improvement work and CPD for schools. We provide support ranging from an extensive offer of CPD courses through to rigorous and robust reviews and highly bespoke work with individual schools. We work with schools and for schools: our motto is to support schools and our staff to Grow, Contribute and Flourish. This means that when schools need support to grow to be brilliant, we are there for them, in every area. Schools are given opportunities for their staff to share areas of expertise and to contribute by engaging in the wider school improvement agenda with other schools Schools who have track records of success in areas are enabled to flourish by nominating colleagues to join our vibrant and thriving pool of Professional Advocates and System Leaders. We are delighted to work in conjunction with Ambition Institute to deliver the Early Career Framework (ECF) and the National Professional qualifications (NPQs).
